"If we allow ourselves to give who we really are to the children in our care, we will in some way inspire cartwheels in their hearts."
~ Fred Rogers
Artist, art therapist, teacher, atelierista, scholar, teacher, researcher, lecturer, healer, artist--I've been all these things roughly in that order, many overlapping over the years. My résumé is long and if you are interested you can scroll down and read all about it. I think the most important things for you to know about me are:
I want people who spend time with me to feel empowered and uplifted, whether they are my colleagues, my clients, my students, my friends, or my family.
I believe all people are creative thinkers and problem solvers, but many have been taught otherwise.
I have a strong drive for social justice and equity of access to resources and the arts. I have worked very hard to create art programs that are accessible to all students and overcome the barriers to equitable participation. I want to travel the world learning as much as I can about how people can connect through art across oceans, cultures, and conflicts.
